Bob Kerwin began playing saxophone over 40 years ago and has played in big bands, small jazz ensembles, R&B and rock groups, symphonic bands, and saxophone quartets. He enjoys all types of music and performs regularly with his jazz quartet, and in duos with guitarist Doug Brown and keyboardist Doug White.
A physician by day and musician at night, Bob practiced Family Medicine, then Emergency Medicine, and is currently a student health doctor at UW-Madison. In addition, he plays an active role in the Madison jazz community. He is the founder of Madison Jazz Jam, a 501c nonprofit that runs a twice a month all-ages jazz jam; and he created Madison Jazz, a website and calendar that served the Madison, Wisconsin jazz community scene for many years. The Madison Jazz website is currently on hold, but the calendar is still actively maintained.
For Bob, music is a healing force. Whether it is relaxing dinner music, a wedding, concert, or club date his aim is to connect with listeners and make them feel good. Contact Dr. Bob to discuss music for your next event!
